Open-Source Content Management Systems
(WordPress, Joomla and Drupal)

  • Learn the difference betwen these systems, their advantages and disadvantages
  • When to use which platform (and when not to!)
  • An opportunity to ask experts of all three of the leading Open-Source CMSs questions at the same place and at the same time

These days everybody wants a Web site they can update themselves. Web developers and designers want an environment that is easy to use, but flexible enough that they can have control. For many sites a CMS is an ideal solution.

But Which One?

WordPress started as a popular blogging system but has gained mommentum as a CMS. With its multitude of plug-ins it can compete with state of the art CMSs that were bult as such. However what is the cost of its popularity resulting in its sites being a target for hackers? Are there costs tof adding functionality not built into its core? At what point are you better off switching to "a real CMS"?

Drupal, with integrated features right in its core, has gained popularity in the open-source developer world. What are its advantages over WordPress and Joomla? When should you not use it?

Joomla, is a veteran and popular CMS. It has capabilities from blogging to e-commerce, but has it been able to keep up with its younger rivals? What features does it bring and what is it lacking?

Jerusalem Web Professionals is proud to bring together leaders in these three technologies to answer these questions and more.

No matter what your level of knowledge, there will be much to learn and discuss.
